In their final roster moves ahead of Sunday's season opener versus the New Orleans Saints, the Detroit Lions elevated defensive lineman Ben Stille from its practice squad. The Lions also re-signed defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike to its practice squad one day after releasing him from their 53-man roster.
As a vested veteran, Onwuzurike's contract would have become fully guaranteed if he was on the Lions' 53-man roster for Week 1.
Onwuzurike, 28, has appeared in 42 games and started 10 in his NFL career. The 6-foot-3, 304-pounder has registered 68 tackles (35 solo), 16 quarterback hits, four tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two passes defended and one forced fumble.

Stille, a Nebraska alum, has played in 18 career NFL games and started one. He last played in Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season with the Arizona Cardinals.
Kickoff between the Lions and Saints is set for 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
