The Detroit Lions are signing New England Patriots practice squad linebacker K.J. Britt to their active roster, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The news comes as Detroit navigates Jack Campbell's scary neck injury from Sunday's 19-15 Lions win over the Vikings, and after Dan Campbell announced that rookie linebacker Jimmy Rolder had suffered a season-ending injury against Minnesota as well.

A sixth-year pro out of Auburn, Britt was signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Patriots from Miami in March. The 6-foot, 240-pound linebacker was released during roster cuts, but the Patriots signed Britt back to their practice squad ahead of this season.
Britt appeared
in all 17 games with one start for the Dolphins in 2025, recording 24 tackles, including a career-high 13 in his lone start against the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 12, 2025.
In his career, Britt has appeared in 77 games and started 16, totaling 162 tackles, four tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, three passes defended, and 0.5 sack.
