While the Detroit Lions (3-2) are currently enjoying their Week 6 bye, the franchise sent several clues about what their uniform combination will be when they return to play on Sunday, Oct. 25, at Ford Field against the rival Green Bay Packers.
On Friday evening, Detroit changed its social media profile pictures from its traditional logo to an all-black Lions logo with a Honolulu blue outline, and posted a video captioned "dark mode activated," signaling the return of its Motor City Muscle uniforms.

Additionally, and nearly guaranteeing the return of the Motor City Muscle uniforms against Green Bay, is the presence of Penei Sewell wearing the alternate set in the team's
social media header beside the date and time of the Lions' next game.
The Motor City Muscle features a black jersey with Honolulu blue numbering and lettering outlined in silver trim, plus the sleeve design with blue-and-silver striping and black pants. The look is completed by an alternate helmet with the shell painted in matte Honolulu blue, the leaping Lions logo in black with silver accents, and an oil black facemask.
The Lions last wore the uniform set on the road against the Minnesota Vikings for last season's Christmas Day game. However, they last wore the combination at home on Nov. 23, 2025, when they won 34-27 in overtime against the New York Giants.
The Lions and Packers kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET at Ford Field on Sunday, Oct. 25, with Fox broadcasting the game.
