After the Lions' (2-2) defense took the brunt of the media heat this week following their 32-26 loss to the Panthers (2-2), Detroit could have an easier matchup this Sunday against an Arizona Cardinals (1-3) team that is set to deactivate receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals are finalizing a deal to trade the former No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Pro Football Talk and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler are reporting that the Houston Texans will be Harrison's landing spot and the Cardinals' trade partner.
While Harrison has just five grabs for 85 yards and a touchdown in 2026, the 6-foot-3, 220-pound receiver has 108 catches for 1,578 yards and 13 touchdowns in his three-year NFL career.

This news comes at a perfect time for Detroit, as they desperately need a win to keep pace in the NFC North, where they are currently two games behind first-place Minnesota.
While the Lions' defense will avoid Harrison this Sunday, it doesn't mean Detroit is out of the woods. The Cardinals boast one of the league's top tight ends in Trey McBride, who has 33 catches for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns thus far this season. McBride led all tight ends in receptions (126) and receiving yards (1,239) and was tied in touchdown receptions (11) in 2025.
Michael Wilson is Arizona's current leading receiver with 25 catches for 258 yards and one score.
