The Detroit Lions' Week 5 foe, the Arizona Cardinals, has been bitten by the injury bug.
On Monday afternoon, the Cardinals announced that starting left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. is out for the remainder of the season after he tore his left biceps during Arizona's 36-24 loss against the Giants on Oct. 4.
The 25-year-old has started 47 games for the Cardinals over the past four seasons, including each of Arizona's first four games this year. Johnson was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.
It marks the third straight season that Johnson's season has come to a premature close due to injury. Johnson was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.

The Cardinals will now turn to rookie seventh-rounder Jayden Williams at left tackle, who has played a handful of snaps in heavy personnel packages. Johnson's college and Cardinals teammate, Josh Fryar, is another depth piece who could fill the void at left tackle, as Fryar played in 12 games last year at both left and right tackle.
The Lions and Cardinals will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., on Sunday, Oct. 11. The game will be broadcast on Fox.
