The Detroit Lions wrapped their NFL preseason slate on Saturday with a 25-16 win over the Indianapolis Colts (0-2-1).
The Lions entered with an ongoing backup quarterback competition. Detroit exited with a clear-cut favorite to stick on the Lions' 53-man roster.
Josh Dobbs passed for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Luke Altmyer struggled to just 55 passing yards, an interception and a lost fumble. Lions running back Jacob Saylors ran for 100 yards and receiver Lucky Jackson nearly reached the century mark in receiving, catching five passes for 94 yards.
Skyler Gill-Howard had a sack and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. had an interception in the win.
