The Detroit Lions announced a slew of roster moves on Tuesday afternoon. Detroit placed running back Isiah Pacheco on injured reserve, re-signed tight end Tyler Conklin to its active roster and added two players to its practice squad in offensive guard Elijah Klein and wide receiver Dominic Lovett.
Lovett was considered a serious contender to make Detroit's 53-man roster, but, like Conklin, he was among the Lions' roster cuts to reach its initial 53-man roster.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pound receiver was a seventh-round pick by the Lions in 2025. Lovett played in 12 games last season with Detroit, appearing primarily as a specialist. The Georgia product logged 50 special teams snaps and 14 offensive snaps in 2025, per Pro Football Focus. Lovett returned
one kickoff for 22 yards in Week 6 at the Chiefs.

Fox Sports' Greg Auman was the first to report that the Lions were signing Klein to its practice squad.
Originally a 2024 sixth-round selection out of UTEP by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 6-foot-4, 319-pound guard spent two seasons in Tampa before the team waived him during Sunday's roster cuts. During his time in Tampa, Klein played in 26 games.
Klein's lone NFL start came in Week 3 against the New York Jets last season, where he played 72 snaps and carded a 79.0 pass blocking grade per Pro Football Focus. Klein allowed a pair of pressures but no sacks in that start at left guard against the Jets. His overall offensive grade against the Jets was just a 40.6 per PFF and was drug down by a 32.4 run blocking grade.
Per Pride of Detroit's Jeremy Reisman, Klein saw preseason work at left guard, center, right guard and right tackle during his time in Tampa.
This past preseason, he reverted back to left guard, right guard, and right tackle.
