The Detroit Lions (2-2) are eyeing a bounce-back performance after falling on "Sunday Night Football" at the Carolina Panthers (2-2), 32-26.
The Lions' defense--and particularly Detroit's secondary--really struggled once more. Panthers quarterback Bryce Young threw for 329 yards and two scores. Second-year receiver Tetairoa McMillan erupted for a career-high 192 yards and two touchdowns.
Carolina running back Chuba Hubbard also ran for 122 yards and two scores.
Meanwhile, the Lions' offense put up 26 points and 452 yards of offense, but it was the first time this season that Detroit didn't score 31 points. The Lions also had to settle for four field goals, and Detroit and Jared Goff couldn't deliver on a potential game-winning drive.
Still, even
after its latest defensive disappointment, the Lions open as favorites in Week 5 as they head to State Farm Stadium to face the Arizona Cardinals (1-3).
