The Detroit Lions shared a series of injury updates on Thursday afternoon ahead of their final training camp practice, including on running back Isiah Pacheco.
Pacheco has been dealing with an MCL sprain throughout Lions training camp. On Thursday, Campbell revealed that Pacheco's knee is no longer the Lions' top concern.
Pacheco is dealing with a second injury, this time with his back.
"He’s another one. I can’t give you anything definitive. He is feeling better as of yesterday. It’s been a little touch and go right now. He’s had a little bit of a back (injury) and we’re hoping he’s coming out of this as of yesterday a little bit," Campbell said of Pacheco on Thursday.

Earlier in camp with the MCL sprain, Campbell said that the Lions expected Pacheco would be "ready to go" when the season got here. Now, Pacheco's Week 1 status versus the New Orleans Saints appears cloudier.
Pacheco, 27, signed with the Lions this offseason on a one-year, $1.81 million deal. It delivered a veteran back to pair with star Jahmyr Gibbs after the Lions dealt David Montgomery away.
Pacheco rushed for 462 yards and one score on 118 carries last season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
In his NFL career, Pacheco has run for 2,537 yards and 14 touchdowns. Pacheco was limited to just seven games played in 2024 due to a fractured fibula. The 5-foot-10, 210-pound back also missed a month last season with a knee issue.
If Detroit is concerned about Pacheco's availability heading into the season, the Lions could ink another veteran back. The Lions hosted Kareem Hunt on a visit this past Tuesday.
