The Miami Dolphins entered their Week 7 matchup with the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday as underdogs after starting their 2026 campaign with an 0-5 record. However, after four hard-fought quarters, Miami emerged with a 28-25 win.
Miami has struggled mightily this season, but the players and coaches saw their hard work pay off against their AFC East rival, putting them just one game out of third place in the division after seven weeks.
After the win, the Dolphins went back to the visiting locker room, and there was an amazing celebration for head coach Jeff Hafley, who earned his first win as the team's head coach. The players doused Hafley in water, drenching everyone.

On top of the celebration, Hafley delivered a great speech and told all of his players that they were getting a game ball. Owner Stephen Ross and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan also surprised Hafley with a game ball of his own and joined the celebration.
That's one win, and the Dolphins are hoping that's just the first in a long line for Hafley in Miami.
