The Miami Dolphins are gearing up to take on the New York Jets in an AFC East showdown on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, and when they take the field, Malik Willis will have one of his favorite targets with him.
On Friday, Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley revealed that rookie wide receiver Caleb Douglas will play against New York, marking his return to action after he suffered an ankle injury in the team's Week 2 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Douglas, the first of three wideouts that Miami took in the 2026 NFL Draft, was off to a strong start before the injury, catching 7-of-10 targets for 113 yards to kick off his rookie campaign.
Since Douglas left, the Dolphins' passing attack has taken a nose dive, and it already wasn't great to begin with. The
team hopes that his return will help Willis move the ball better through the air and potentially steal a game against a rival on the road.
