The Miami Dolphins already have two long snappers in the building (Tucker Addington on the 53-man roster and Cal Adomitis on the practice squad), but they've decided to bring in another.
On Tuesday, the Dolphins announced that they've signed Luke Basso to their practice squad. The 23-year-old spent five years at Oregon, earning All-Big Ten honor in his final two seasons with the Ducks before joining the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent.
Basso made it through the offseason in Denver and made their original practice squad for 2026 but was cut a week later.
Two long snappers is a lot, but three is entirely unnecessary, so there's a strong chance that the Dolphins move on from Adomitis in the coming days, possibly to make room for linebacker
Liam Anderson, who they just released.
