The Miami Dolphins have begun trimming their wide receiver room during cuts to get down to 53 players from the 91 that they've been working with.
After releasing Terrace Marshall Jr. and Theo Wease Jr., the Dolphins are reportedly waiving rookie wide receiver Donaven McCulley, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
McCulley, 23, played at Indiana from 2021-24 and at Michigan in 2025, missing out on two national championships for both schools over the last few years. He caught 105 passes for 1,422 yards and 11 touchdowns in college, leading the Dolphins to sign him as an undrafted free agent.
However, between the veterans and drafted rookies all getting reps, McCulley was near the bottom of the depth chart. In fact, in Miami's three preseason
games, no quarterback targeted him with a pass.
