The Miami Dolphins, in an effort to get down to 53 players from the 91 that they've had for the last few months, are making several roster moves this weekend to comply with league rules by Sunday's deadline.
Two of the moves that Miami made on Sunday were releasing cornerback Marco Wilson (via ESPN's Adam Schefter) and offensive tackle Gottlieb Ayedze (via Miami Herald's Barry Jackson).
Wilson, 27, played at Florida from 2017-20 before the Arizona Cardinals took him in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL draft. He had stints with the Cardinals, New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals before joining the Dolphins this offseason. He appeared in three preseason games and recorded six tackles, two passes defensed and an interception.
Ayedze, 26, played
at Frostburg State from 2019-22 and at Maryland in 2023 before going undrafted in 2024 and landing with the Philadelphia Eagles. After two short stints with Philadelphia and Las Vegas, he spent the 2026 UFL season with the Houston Gamblers, earning All-UFL honors. He signed with the Dolphins back in June and was working as a second-team tackle.
