The Miami Dolphins will travel to Paradise, Nevada this weekend for a Week 1 showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
Miami doesn't exactly have the best roster, and they have one of the toughest schedules in the league, which has led many to predict they will struggle throughout their 2026 campaign.
With the Raiders also in a rebuild, this could be the Dolphins' best chance of winning for a while. That's why former Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick believes that if Miami loses this game, their season could snowball quickly.
"If the Dolphins lose to the Raiders in Vegas on Sunday, I think they're going to go 0-17 this year," Fitzpatrick said on his podcast with his co-host Andrew Whitworth.
The former quarterback went on to
break down their schedule, saying that the two games against the New York Jets are probably their only other shots to get wins if other teams are healthy. He also went through their roster and dead cap situation and said that he feels bad for them.
Two teams in NFL history have gone winless for a full season, but both of those were in 16-game seasons. If Miami doesn't win a single game, they'd be the first team to go 0-17. While Jeff Hafley and Jon-Eric Sullivan should have plenty of wiggle room, it might be tough to bring them back for 2027 if they don't win a single game.
