The Minnesota Vikings entered Week 8 as the lone undefeated team left in the NFL with a 6-0 record through their first six games. However, they fell to the Detroit Lions 19-15 on Sunday at Ford Field, dropping to 6-1 on the year.
With that, no team will finish the season without a loss, making the 1972 Miami Dolphins the only team to ever accomplish the feat, as they went 14-0 in the regular season and beat Cleveland and Pittsburgh in the playoffs before beating Washington 14-7 in the Super Bowl.
While there aren't many players left from the 1972 team around to celebrate, Hall of Fame fullback Larry Csonka quickly took to social media after Minnesota's loss to savor the moment with a cigar and a stiff drink.
