What is the story about?
The
Miami Dolphins dropped to 0-4 this week after losing to the Minnesota Vikings 15-10 on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium in an interconference battle.
Miami's defense turned up the heat, sacking Kyler Murray four times in the contest, after they were unable to record a sack in any of the first three games of the season.
However, with the positives, there were also a lot of negatives, including the defense's inability to stop the run and the offense's complete lack of a passing game.
As we continue to break down this result, let's take a look at how the snap counts looked in the two main phases.
Offense
- With Achane out, Gordon outsnapped Wright 22-12, and after a 100-yard, one-touchdown performance, that trend will likely continue.
- After Jeff Hafley made it a point to say that they want to get Dulcich more involved, his usage dropped from 70% to 51% from last week to this week.
- Washington and Bell continued to be the top two wide receivers, with Caleb Douglas out. Kevin Coleman Jr. was third again, but his usage dipped a bit (62% in Week 3 to 51% in Week 4).
Defense
- Taaffe, Rodriguez, Brooks and Johnson continue to play every snap, which is commendable.
- Anderson sees increse from 0% to 29%, partially due to Julius Wood not playing and Trader's injury.
- Biggers jumped up to 62% from 48% while Phillips dropped from 67% to 59%.
- McGraw and Smith take Clelin Ferrell's and Ketih Cooper Jr.'s snaps after both were released last week.
