Watch: Malik Willis calls his own number for first Dolphins TD

The Miami Dolphins were trending in the wrong direction after falling behind 17-6 to the Las Vegas Raiders by the end of the first half of their Week 1 matchup.

However, after Dolphins rookie Michael Taaffe intercepted Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins on Las Vegas' first possession of the third quarter, new Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis drove Miami down a shorter field.

Following chunk completions to rookie wideouts Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas, and a five-yard run by De'Von Achane, Willis scrambled for a 14-yard touchdown and took some big hits as he crossed into the end zone.

Unfortunately, the positivity

wasn't long-lived, as the Raiders scored just a few plays later, and then Willis threw his first interception with the Dolphins.
