The Miami Dolphins have been one of the most active teams in the league over the last 24 hours, and they still have plenty of work to do to get down to 53 players by 6:00 p.m. ET Sunday night.
One move that the Dolphins made Sunday morning was releasing tight end Jeremiah Franklin, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson.
Franklin played at Boston College under new Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley before going undrafted in 2026 and signing with the New England Patriots. However, he only spent a few months in New England before they waived him, and he reunited with Hafley in South Florida.
In three preseason games, Franklin was targeted twice but didn't catch either pass.
This move may have solidified Miami's tight end room, as they have Greg
Dulcich, Will Kacmarek, Ben Sims and Seydou Traore as their four at the position.
