The Miami Dolphins may have lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium but the score was far from the worst thing to happen on the field throughout the contest.
Dolphins running back De'Von Achane left early in the matchup with a knee injury, and he never returned. Now, on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported
that Achane suffered a torn ACL in the game and will miss the rest of the season.Achane, 24, has been one of the most dynamic backs in the league since the Dolphins took him in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M. He earned Pro Bowl honors last year rushing for 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns on a league-leading 5.7 yards per attempt.
His 2026 campaign ended with just 127 rushing yards on 3.7 yards per
attempt. He also caught seven passes for 49 yards.
