The 1-6 Miami Dolphins will take on the 5-2 Detroit Lions at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday for their first meeting since the 2022 season.
Ahead of the game, the Dolphins elevated a pair of players from their practice squad to the active roster on Saturday, giving them 55 players to pick from for their game-day roster against the Lions. The two players that Miami elevated were kicker Zane Gonzalez and running back Carlos Washington Jr..
Gonzalez, 31, rejoined the Dolphins' practice squad last month after spending the offseason with the team. He's been elevated twice already and has made two ff his three field goals and all five extra points. This is his third and final elevation, so they'll need to sign him to the 53-man roster before Week 10 if
they want him to kick for them.
Washington, 27, came to Miami back in May but failed to make the roster out of camp. He had a stint on the 53-man roster last month, but after just a few days, the team waived him and dropped him back to the practice squad. This is Washington's second elevation.
