The Miami Dolphins, in an effort to get down to 53 players from the 91 they had throughout camp by the NFL's deadline, moved on from 13 players on Saturday, including quarterback Quinn Ewers and wide receiver Theo Wease Jr.
Then, early Sunday morning, the roster changes continued, as the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reported that the team waived safety Major Burns.
Burns, 24, signed with the Dolphins this offseason to compete for a job in the secondary after spending last offseason with the Chicago Bears and earning All-UFL honors with the Houston Gamblers in the spring.
Despite the safety room being one of the thinnest for Miami, Burns wasn't able to separate himself over the last month.
