The Miami Dolphins finished last season with a 7-10 record, fired general manager Chris Grier midseason and parted ways with head coach Mike McDaniel after it.
Over the last several months, the Dolphins have brought in a new regime and overturned a good chunk of their roster to try and speed up their rebuild.
However, after all these moves, Miami landed at No. 32 on Nate Davis' Week 1 NFL power rankings for USA Today.
"How bad is a team with nearly $182 million in dead money on its salary cap? The Fins claimed seven players after the roster cutdown, which is highly indicative of how they feel about their talent quotient," Davis wrote.
With the Dolphins taking on the Las Vegas Raiders (No. 29) on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium, Jeff Hafley's team could
move up with a win, but they probably wouldn't move up by much. It feels rather likely that they'll be near the bottom of these power rankings throughout 2026.
