While the Miami Dolphins were losing their Week 5 matchup to the Cincinnati Bengals 31-24 at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, they got defensive lineman Kenneth Grant back from injured reserve.
Grant suffered a toe injury before Week 1, which knocked him out for the first four games, and in his return, he played 16 defensive snaps (25%) and recorded one tackle.
Days after the game, Grant gave updates on how he feels after playing in his first game of 2026.
"I felt pretty good," Grant said. "When my number was called, I answered. I did the best to my ability, so I had to go out there and perform.... Whatever coach feels like I need to do, I'm going to do it. When my number gets called. I'm going to answer the bell."
Miami's 2025 first-round pick finished
his rookie year with 33 tackles, two sacks and one pass defensed. While that's a decent start to his career, he's hoping for more in 2026.
"Get better," Grant said describing his goals for the rest of the year. "Get better from last season. Be dominant in the run and the pass game and get a lot of wins for this team.
