The Miami Dolphins made two pretty big moves over the last 24 hours involving their quarterback room, as they traded Quinn Ewers to the Jacksonville Jaguars and waived Cam Miller.
This left just Malik Willis and Mark Gronowski in their quarterback room, but according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo
, the Dolphins are now waiving their rookie backup. Garafolo also stated that Miami wants to bring him back on the practice squad.Gronowski, 24, played at South Dakota State and Iowa in college, winning two FCS national championships and earning FCS All-American honors once. He signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent, was waived in early August and then was brought back just two weeks ago.
In his two preseason appearances, he completed 46.2%
of his passes for 98 yards without a touchdown or interception. He also rushed for 37 yards and lost a fumble.
With just Willis left on the active roster, the Dolphins will be scouring the waiver wire and the list of released veterans for a backup.
