The Miami Dolphins, after a Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, have remained on the West Coast for an interconference battle with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Levi's Stadium.
On Friday, Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley spoke to the media and revealed that Miami will be without one of their best defenders in Week 2, as they've ruled out linebacker Chop Robinson due to a concussion.
Robinson, 23, was Miami's first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Penn Sate. Over his first two years, he recorded 47 tackles, 21 quarterback hits, 10 sacks, five passes defensed and one forced fumble in 33 games.
In Week 1, Robinson was essentially invisible, recording just one tackle despite playing 62% of the team's defensive snaps. However, without
him, the edge group looks even worse, as Miami will have to rely on Joshua Uche, Robert Beal Jr. and Malik Herring from their active roster. They also may bring Max Llewellyn, Clelin Ferrell and Rodney McGraw from the practice squad.
