While the Miami Dolphins have been looking for players to separate themselves in the wide receiver room throughout training camp, they're getting some reinforcements for the group this week.
On Monday, the team announced that they've activated rookie wideout Chris Bell from the NFI list. The 22-year-old has been recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in his final college season, and now it seems he's ready to practice.
Bell was a three-star recruit out of Greenville Christian in Greenville, Mississippi, before landing at Louisville. In 47 games over four years with the Cardinals, he caught 151 passes for 2,166 yards and 12 touchdowns. He earned All-ACC honors in 2025 despite ending the season early with that ACL injury.
Miami took Bell in the third
round (No. 94 overall) of the 2026 NFL draft, and he was seen as one of the most intriguing picks of the three-day event, as he likely would've gone much earlier if it weren't for the injury.
If Bell can work his way back in and play the way he did in his final year at Louisville, Miami may trot out a pair of rookies and Malik Washington as their three starting wideouts in Week 1.
