Just one day after the Miami Dolphins
set their initial 53-man roster for the 2026, general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and his front office found eight new players to bring in, including defensive end Malik Herring, quarterback Brady Cook, cornerback Marcellas Dial Jr., offensive tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick, tight end Justin Joly, offensive tackle Jarrett Kingston, cornerback Reese Taylor and safety Julius Wood.However, with all of those moves, eight players who made the roster on Sunday had to find out that their future is up in the air.
To make room for the new additiona, Miami released defensive end Clelin Ferrell and cornerback A.J. Green III. They also waived cornerback Ethan Bonner, offensive tackle Marques Cox, wide receiver AJ Henning,
defensive end Max Llewellyn and offensive lineman Josh Priebe.
Several of these players will likely be back on the practice squad if they clear waivers.
The Dolphins also waived veteran tight end Ben Sims with an injury designation. If he clears waivers, he'll revert to injured reserve.
