TheMiami Dolphins took on the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Week 1 of the 2026 season, and Jeff Hafley's team fell in their season opener 27-13, dropping to 0-1 in his tenure as head coach.
Last week, the Dolphins were seen as the worst team in the NFL, as USA Today's Nate Davis had them ranked at No. 32 in his weekly power rankings, and after a loss to the team who landed the first-overall pick last year, they remain in the basement in the league in Week 2.
"Piling up tackles isn't necessarily indicative of an elite defender, but rookie LB Jacob Rodriguez's 14 stops − second most league-wide in Week 1 − in his pro debut portend the smart and active player the second-rounder was projected to be coming out of Texas Tech.," Davis wrote.
The Cleveland Browns are No. 31 and the Tennessee Titans are No. 30. If the Dolphins are able to upset the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium on Sunday, they'll climb out of No. 32 and probably up into the mid-20s, especially considering Kyle Shanahan's team is No. 2 in this week's power rankings.
