The Miami Dolphins have had the worst pass rush in the NFL through the first six weeks of the season, as they have just four sacks, which is the lowest total in the league, while the second-lowest has eight.
With that, the Dolphins need help on the edge, and at some point this year, they should get some reinforcements with rookie linebacker Trey Moore returning from injured reserve, but according to Jeff Hafley, that won't happen this week.
"No, he will not be here this week," Hafley plainly told reporters during his Monday media availability after the bye.
Moore, 23, played at UTSA from 2021-23 and at Texas from 2024-24. He earned All-AAC honors and earned the AAC Defensive Player of the Year Award in his final year at UTSA before transferring.
The Dolphins took him in the fourth round (No. 130 overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft. Moore flashed a bit in training camp and the preseason before suffering an ankle injury in Miami's exhibition battle with the New York Giants.
Whenever Moore returns, the Dolphins could absolutely use him in a rotation with Joshua Uche, Robert Beal Malik Herring and Andre Jones opposite Chop Robinson.
