The Miami Dolphins moved on from a slew of players over the weekend to cut down to 53 from the 91 they carried throughout training camp and the preseason, and among those cut players was quite a surprise.

On Sunday, Miami moved on from veteran linebacker Tyrel Dodson, who started 16 games for the Dolphins in 2025 and recorded a career-high 129 tackles.

Luckily for the 28-year-old, he wasn't on the market long, as ESPN's Mike Kaye reported that Dodson signed with the Carolina Panthers practice squad on Monday.

While Miami moves on with some young linebackers in the roome, including second-round pick Jacob Rodriguez, Dodson will get an opportunity to provide depth to a group that already has Devin Lloyd Bobby Okereke and Claudin Cherelus.
