The Miami Dolphins didn't win a game for the first five weeks of the season, but after having a week off, they defeated the New York Jets 28-25 on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Now, after their first win of year and first under their new head coach, the Dolphins will host the New England Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium in Week 8 for another divisional showdown.
For this matchup, the Dolphins have opened a 7-point underdogs, according to BetMGM. They're also +300 on the moneyline (a $100 bet wins $300) while the over/under is set at 44.5 points.
Miami is catching New England coming off some extra rest, as they fell to the Chicago Bears 30-24 on Thursday night at Soldier Field in Week 7. After representing the conference in the Super Bowl, the Patriots
have struggled a bit this year, going 4-3 through their first seven games.
New England is still the better team on paper, but they've always had a hard time playing in South Florida, even when Tom Brady was under center.
