After a busy offseason and going 0-3 in the preseason, the Miami Dolphins are set to take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon at Allegiant Stadium to kick off their 2026 campaign.
While the Dolphins had three players on their injury report entering the weekend, they're all expected to play Sunday. However, the team decided to bring up defensive end Clelin Ferrell from the practice squad to the active roster for game day.
Ferrell, 29, joined the Dolphins this offseason after stints with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, Washington Commanders, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers. The former first-round pick has 21 career sacks and should help Miami's pass rush in Week 1.
Players can only be elevated to the active roster from the practice
squad three times during the year. This will be the first elevation for Ferrell in 2026.
