With a few former Miami Dolphins quarterbacks expected to start for other teams around the league, one of them has been looking for a new contract, as Jacoby Brissett was set to enter the final year of a two-year, $12.5 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Brissett and the Cardinals have agreed to a reworked contract worth $15.5 million with a chance to get up to $21 million. Brissett had been practicing, but this deal is a solid reward for the quarterback who had career highs in yards (3,366) and touchdowns (23) for Arizona last year.
Brissett started five games for the Dolphins in 2021, leading the team to a 2-3 record while completing 62.7% of his passes for 1,283 yards, five touchdowns and four
interceptions.
Since then, he appeared in 16 games and started 11 for the Cleveland Browns, played in three games for the Washington Commanders and took snaps in eight games and started five for the New England Patriots before joining the Cardinals last year.
