The Miami Dolphins have a very young team, but for the last few weeks, they've had to play without arguably their most intriguing Day-3 pick from the 2026 NFL Draft, as safety Kyle Louis has been out due to injury.
However, according to Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley, the team is opening up Louis' practice window, as he attempts to return from injured reserve.
Louis, 22, played at Pittsburgh from 2022-25, earning All-ACC honors twice and All-American honor once before Miami took him in the fourth round of this year's draft. Louis played 17 total snaps in Week 1 (three on defense and 14 on special teams), but he suffered an MCL sprain that cost him the last four games.
With the ability to play both linebacker and safety, Louis could be an interesting
weapon for Hafley to deploy whenever he's fully back from injury. The Dolphins will likely ease him back into things, as he's a rookie, who hasn't played much already and is coming off a rough injury.
