The Miami Dolphins lost running back De'Von Achane to a torn ACL during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium, and on Monday, they placed him on season-ending injured reserve.
In addition, the Dolphins
also released defensive lineman Keith Cooper Jr. from the 53-man roster, as well as defensive end Clelin Ferrell and defensive lineman Jordan Miller from the practice squad.Cooper, 23, joined the Dolphins this offseason after stints with the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns as a rookie in 2025. So far this year, he appeared in 17% of the team's defensive snaps and recorded a single tackle. He could rejoin the team's practice squad if he clears waivers.
Ferrell, 29, joined the Dolphins this year after playing with the Las
Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers. He was elevated three times so far this year, and he played 23% of the team's defensive snaps and recorded three tackles.
Miller, 26, signed with Miami's practice squad in 2026 after two years with the Denver Broncos. He's yet to appear in a single game since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
