The Miami Dolphins need players to step up on the offensive side of the ball, so it's no surprise that they're making moves to add depth at wide receiver.
On Tuesday, the Dolphins announced that they've claimed wide receiver Jared Wayne off waivers, and to make space for him on the 53-man roster, they've released wide receiver Ryan Miller.
Wayne, 26, played at Pittsburgh from 2019-22, earning All-ACC honors once before the Houston Texans signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Over the last four years, he's appeared in nine games, catching six passes for 85 yards (four receptions for 65 yards this year).
Miller, 26, played at Furman from 2018-22 before signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2023. After three
years with the Buccaneers, he had a short stint with the New York Giants and joined the Dolphins this August. In his career, he's appeared in 30 games and has caught 17 passes for 254 yards and four touchdowns. For Miami this year, he has three receptions for 92 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2.
