The Miami Dolphins moved on from three players and placed another on injured reserve earlier this week, as they opened up a pair of spots on the active roster as well as a pair on the practice squad.
On Wednesday, the Dolphins decided to bring one of the release players back, as the team announced that they've re-signed defensive lineman Keith Cooper Jr. to their practice squad.
Cooper, 23, played at Tulane from 2021-23 and at Houston in 2024, where he earned All-Big 12 honors in his lone season. After going undrafted, he had stints with the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns as a rookie last year before joining the Dolphins on a reserve/futures contract in January.
In three games this year, he played 17% of Miami's defensive snaps and recorded
just one tackle.
Cooper flashed in training camp and the preseason, and the Dolphins will now have an opportunity to continue to develop him on the practice squad.
