The Miami Dolphins are set to start training camp on Tuesday, with their veterans joining the rookies who have already been in the building for the last week.
However, before sessions started, the Dolphins announced a pair of roster moves on Monday, as they've waived defensive lineman Kahlil Saunders and signed defensive end Clelin Ferrell.
Saunders, 23, was a three-star recruit out of high school and spent five years at Kentucky from 2021-25. The 6-foot-3, 287-pound defensive lineman recorded an impressive 8.57 RAS score at the combine, which probably led Miami to sign him as an undrafted free agent.
Ferrell, 29, played at Clemson from 2015-18, earning All-American and All-ACC honors twice and winning two national championships. His performance
in college led to the Oakland Raiders taking him in the first round (No. 4 overall) of the 2019 NFL draft. In 98 career games, he's recorded 184 tackles, 59 quarterback hits, 21 sacks, 12 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, while playing for the Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers.
