As expected, the Baltimore Ravens have ruled out starting quarterback Lamar Jackson for their Week 5 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football. Jackson suffered an ankle injury against the Tennessee Titans and missed all three days of practice this week.
The two-time league MVP has been sharp this season, passing for six touchdowns to just one interception for a passer rating of 119.6. The Ravens will look to backup Tyler Huntley to fill in this Sunday in Atlanta. Huntley completed eight out of nine passes for 63 yards against the Titans in week 4.
Without Jackson, Baltimore becomes a clear underdog on the road. That would make Atlanta the favorite for the first time all season. We'll see if Kevin Stefanski's team can handle
the pressure. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. certainly appears up to the challenge.
Penix is 2-0, posting back-to-back quarterback ratings over 100 against the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, respectively.
