It's a busy day for the Atlanta Falcons and the other 31 teams around the league. Following Sunday's flurry of roster cuts, today's action center around the waiver wire and practice squads. The Falcons have been ahead of the game, claiming three new players off waivers and they have already reportedly signed 10 players to their practice squad.
Wide receiver Vinny Anthony, running back Cash Jones and defensive tackle Carlos Allen Jr. are all back in Atlanta after clearing waivers. Check out each reported practice squad signing below.
- WR Vinny Anthony
- DT Carlos Allen Jr.
- OL Kam Dewberry
- WR Dylan Drummond
- RB Tyler Goodson
- DB Darnay Holmes
- OT Riley Mahlman
- TE Nick Muse
- EDGE Cameron Sample
- RB Cash Jones
The big name is right at the top, as undrafted rookie wide receiver Vinny Anthony II was a preseason standout both on offense and special teams. In addition to flashing as a receiver, Anthony was arguably Atlanta's
most-dynamic kickoff returner this month.
Further down the list, Houston's Carlos Allen Jr. is another undrafted darling from the preseason - and he may see action at defensive tackle if the Falcons suffer any injuries - although the addition of Gervon Dexter Jr. via trade knocks him and everyone else on the roster down a spot on the depth chart.
The three new faces on the list just joined the team via waivers: linebackers Jared Ivey and Yasir Abdullah come via the Seahawks and the Jaguards, respectively, while Cameron Williams was claimed off waivers from the Eagles.
