The Atlanta Falcons are in a tough spot after their first two winless two weeks of the season, and things will only get tougher when they face the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football in NFL Week 3.

However, there is one reason for hope. The Falcons finally have their starting quarterback healthy. 10 months after tearing his ACL, Michael Penix Jr. is back and ready to make his 2026 NFL season debut against the Packers in prime time.

Last season, Penix passed for nine touchdowns and three interceptions before going down in Week 11. Even if he's not at 100 percent, Penix should be a big improvement over third-string QB Cooper Rush. Nonetheless, the Falcons have their work cut out for them against a good Packers defense.
