The Atlanta Falcons have locked up another star player, signing running back Bijan Robinson to a three-year, $75 million contract extension, according to a report from ESPN insider Adam Schefter.
"Two-time Pro-Bowl selection Bijan Robinson and the Falcons reached agreement on a three-year extension worth up to $75 million that now will make him the highest-paid running back in NFL history. Robinson will receive a record $51 million guaranteed, including $37 million at signing, in a deal that agent Nicole Lynn and the Falcons have been working hard on to finish up in recent days."
Robinson had two years left on his rookie contract but was well underpaid with a cap hit of under $7 million this season. That's not enough for arguably the game's best
running back. The former No. 8 pick sat out of the team's first five practices as a sort of "hold-in" while the team worked out an extension.

The Falcons have now extended wide receiver Drake London on a four-year, $141 million contract, Kyle Pitts on a three-year, $54 million contract, and guard Matthew Bergeron on a four-year, $90 million extension.
Since joining the team in 2023, Robinson has rushed for 3,910 yards and 25 touchdowns, while adding 198 catches for 1,738 receiving yards and another nine scores.
