NFL athletes face a level of scrutiny that most people can't even imagine. We analyze literally everything they do, oftentimes holding them to a standard that even some high-ranking politicians could never live up to. When you play quarterback, that scrutiny is ratcheted way up.
Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been under the microscope since his time at Alabama, but he found himself facing burner account allegations after he appeared to comment on his own Instagram post.
"We're so proud of you," Tagovailoa appeared to write about himself under his own post (see below).

Fans got a good laugh out of the comment, but Tagovailoa's wife clarified that she
was the one to accidentally post the loving message from Tua's IG account. She posted another comment explaining her mistake and pointing out that Tagovailoa has never run his own social media accounts.
"No burner account! I was busy with the kids this morning and forgot to switch back to my account. He's busy at work as he's said he doesn't have social media and I post on his behalf! Will pay more attention next time."
As funny as it was to imagine Tagovailoa commenting about himself from a burner account, we believe his wife was 100 percent telling the truth. The Falcons quarterback is likely more concerned with winning the starting job in his battle against Michael Penix Jr.
Right now, it appears Tua has the inside track to start Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
