The Atlanta Falcons are expected to sign linebacker Brian Asamoah to their 53-man roster, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Asamoah was one of six players to work out for the Falcons on Tuesday.
The former Oklahoma Sooners standout was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Asamoah spent four years with the Vikings, appearing in 50 games and recording 30 tackles (17 solo) with two forced fumbles.
After logging 119 defensive snaps as a rookie in 2022, Asamoah's role declined over the next three seasons. However, he was a key special teams contributor throughout his time in Minnesota.

Aside from Asamoah, the Falcons also worked out Trayveon Williams, Jam Miller, Terrell Jennings, Earnest Brown and Kyu Blu Kelly on Tuesday. We'll see if the team makes any other moves ahead of Monday night's game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 4.
