The Atlanta Falcons signed edge rusher Za'Darius Smith to their 90-man roster on Tuesday, but he won't be making his debut during Wednesday's joint practice with the Indianapolis Colts. The three-time Pro Bowler just came out of retirement and will be eased back into things.
According to the team's official website, Smith will wear the No. 91 this season. The veteran defensive end has never worn the No. 91 before but previously wore numbers 90, 99 and 55 during his time with the Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles.
The Falcons also assigned wide receiver Beaux Collins the No. 88. Collins, the former New York Giant, was spotted by The Athletic's Josh Kendall at Wednesday's practice.
