Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels suffered a severe neck injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears and has been ruled out, according to team reporter William McFadden. Daniels was on the ground for several minutes in a scary moment at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The rookie took a big hit to his head and neck as he went down. The entire team took a knee as Daniels was slowly carted off. Daniels has been spectacular this season, starting all six games and recording 23 tackles (12 solo) and one sack.
The Falcons will look to Josh Woods to replace Daniels for the rest of Sunday's game against the Bears. Atlanta already lost starting linebacker Divine Deablo to an arm injury earlier in the game, so rookie Harold
Perkins Jr. will have to play an even bigger role down the stretch.
