The Atlanta Falcons returned to practice on Thursday but quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sat out for the second day in a row. On the bright side, cornerback A.J. Terrell and guard Chris Lindstrom participated after sitting out on Wednesday.
Rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels and second-year cornerback Billy Bowman Jr. were both limited due to Achilles injuries. Daniels was not listed on the Wednesday report. Defensive end Za'Darius Smith was given a rest day while offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor sat out with a knee injury.
As for quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (knee), he was a full participant for the second day in a row, as was backup Cooper Rush (back). The team has yet to name a starter for Week 2, but it will likely be either Rush or Penix.

Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (ankle) and linebacker Patrick Jones (back) were both limited on Thursday. Coker had a career game against the Chicago Bears in Week 1. Last but not least, Panthers defensive tackle Bobby Brown III was absent due to a back injury.
