After a rough start to the season, the Atlanta Falcons will look to bounce back against the Carolina Panthers at home in NFL Week 2. The Falcons listed six players on their Wednesday injury report, including quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) and guard Chris Lindstrom (concussion).
Tagovailoa has not practiced since last Thursday when he was spotted falling to the ground. Lindstrom exited Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers with a concussion and did not return. The Pro Bowl offensive lineman is currently in the concussion protocol and did not practice on Wednesday.
Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (knee) left the door open to play Sunday and was a full participant at Wednesday's practice. However, he says he's still waiting for his knee to feel
sturdy enough to go, so we may see Cooper Rush again.
Speaking of Rush, he was listed as a full participant in practice with a back injury. Cornerback A.J. Terrell did not practice due to a shoulder injury, so keep an eye on his status we get closer to Sunday's game.
Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker was a limited participant on Wednesday due to an ankle injury, while tight end Darren Waller got a rest day. Check out the first Week 2 injury report for both teams below.
