In Week 3, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. took the field for the first time in over 10 months and led the team to a stunning upset against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football.
While Penix looked a bit rusty on his first two drives (going 1/5 with an interception), something clicked late in the first quarter an he never looked back. The former top-10 pick completed 17 of his next 20 pass attempts to help the Falcons secure a 35-14 win in Green Bay.
Penix finished 18/25 for 256 yards, one touchdown and one interception (101.4 QB rating). Considering how poorly Atlanta's quarterback play was in the first two games, it was especially impressive to see Penix answer the call and potentially save the Falcons' season.

The Falcons have a little time off before their next game. The New Orleans Saints will host Atlanta on Monday Night Football in Week 4. The 1-1 Saints and will face the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
